Hach Flow FAQs for Customers
Announcement: Hach Flow business unit begins moving to McCrometer Inc. in January 2023 with complete transfer effective July 2023
Q. What’s changing?
A. Before July 2023: Business and existing procedures remain in-place and nothing will change for both McCrometer and Hach Flow.
After July 2023, the following is expected to be transitioned:
- An estimated 15 associates who currently work with Hach Flow products will be included in the transfer to McCrometer. They will become employees of McCrometer.
- Members of the Hach Flow Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Tech Support and Software teams will be part of this transition. Customer service and accounting functions will also be owned and managed by the McCrometer team.
- Production will remain at Hach along with the service and shipping departments.
Q. Why is this move taking place?
A. The ability to combine flow solutions under one organization is an attractive alignment that should create more value for our customers who are looking for flow solutions. The Hach Flow product line will receive the necessary investments and focus to ensure continued product vitality and quality.
Q. Was the Hach Flow product line sold to McCrometer? Is McCrometer purchasing the Hach Flow business?
A. No. This is a transfer of the Hach Flow product line and 15 associates from one Veralto Operating Company (Hach) to another Veralto Operating Company (McCrometer). This is not a sale or purchase of assets but a movement of the business from one VLTO company to another to better align products with customer needs under one organization within Veralto.
Q. Who do I work with for Hach Flow questions?
A. You will continue to work with the same Hach Flow representative and/or Hach Flow Salesperson. There are no planned changes to the partnerships that are currently in place. Tech Support, Customer Support and Service will all remain in-place until July.
Q. Will the transferring Hach Flow salespeople keep their existing territories and customer bases?
A. Yes.
Q. Will the existing McCrometer salespeople and representatives keep their existing territories and customer bases?
A. Yes – the current McCrometer salespeople and representatives will continue as-is.
Q. What about contracts that I currently have with Hach (DDS, FSData, Service), will they continue with Hach or need to be transitioned to McCrometer?
A. We will be looking to move all existing contracts to McCrometer but understand that this process may need to take time, require some additional paperwork or be aligned with renewal dates. We understand that there may be differences between contract language and customer requirements and want to work with you to ensure no break in services. Please work with your Hach Flow salesperson or representative on the specifics of your contract so that we may come to a mutually agreeable transition solution.
Q. Will any Hach Flow production physically move to McCrometer headquarters in Hemet, California?
A. Hach will continue to manufacture all Hach Flow products as a manufacturer for McCrometer. At some point down the road, McCrometer will move product manufacturing to their facility, but only for new products developed through the McCrometer R&D team.
