Hemet, Calif. – McCrometer, Inc., a globally recognized flow meter manufacturer, recently announced CRN approval for the Field Mag™ 3000 and Field Mag™ 5000 industrial line of full-bore electromagnetic (mag) flow meters.

CRN, or Canadian Registration Number, is an approval certification that allows pressure devices such as valves, sensors, meters, and similar products with a PSI greater than 15 to be registered and tracked by each individual province in Canada. This tracking system ensures that high-pressure equipment and devices are manufactured and operated with the highest level of quality possible, for safety purposes. These flow measurement devices now meet CRN approval in all 13 Canadian provinces, joining the existing CRN-approved V-Cone ® differential pressure flow meter. The mag meters, in line sizes 4” – 12” (101.6mm – 304.8mm) and with ANSI 150# flanges, are now available to customers requiring a CRN meter.

The CRN registration is the latest quality initiative that McCrometer has pursued for its products. Existing compliance regulations and approvals include Class I, Division II, NSF-61 and NSF-372, MET, PED certifications, among others. Each mag meter registered with CRN has been thoroughly tested to meet each province’s standards.
