Hemet, Calif. – McCrometer, Inc., a globally recognized flow meter manufacturer, today announced the expansion of their longstanding meter repair program.

Originally a service exclusive to McCrometer’s Water Specialties™ and Mc®Propeller flow meters, the Meter Repair Program (MRP) is an economically friendly offering for customers seeking to prolong the usage of their measurement device. Customers ship their meter to the Southern California McCrometer factory, where the technical service team thoroughly inspects the meter body and electronics, repairs or replaces any components, if necessary, updates parts to the current model, and even upgrades electronics to a more feature-rich model. The revamped Meter Repair Program operates on a tiered model, offering a premium and basic package benefitting customers seeking either a reduced or extensive level of meter service. Each service level includes a complete meter rebuild, three-point flow test, and recalibration. Additionally, the MRP provides customers with a full one-year warranty.

“The MRP is a cost-effective service for our customers looking to sustain the efficiency of their flow meter,” explained Aimee Davis, Agriculture Vertical Marketing Manager. “Customers can maintain a ‘like-new’ measurement device for about 40% cheaper than the cost of a new meter. The MRP has been around for years for our propeller meters, and recently there has been customer demand for the MRP to be available for other products.”

The MRP is now available for two of McCrometer’s electromagnetic flow products, the Ultra Mag® and FPI Mag®. The MRP is especially beneficial for customers with meters 10 years or older, have incurred slight damage, or need updating. Interested customers may enroll in the Meter Repair Program through McCrometer authorized representatives as well as directly from the factory.
