Hemet, Calif. – McCrometer, Inc., a globally recognized flow meter manufacturer, recently announced they are now offering their Field Mag Meters from 1.5” - 24” in ANSI #150 with grooved end connections for 4” – 12”, and ANSI #300 on their 2”, 3”, 4”-24” meters.
Due to the method of construction of the McCrometer Electromagnetic Flow Meters, McCrometer was able to develop the Field Mag Series which features the first electromagnetic flow meter on the market with integrated grooved end connections, (VictaulicTM) in their most popular line sizes, 4”-12”. Field Mag Meters also come standard with welded feet to keep the meter from rolling while in transport and provide enough lift to allow ease of insertion of the grooved end clamp bolts.
Grooved end connections aren’t the only enhancements. The Field Mag Series also touts a higher temperature rated epoxy coating able to withstand a process temperature of 200F. This applies well in produced water applications with higher temperature water-based fluids that are byproducts of Enhanced Oil Recovery and other processes.
These rugged meters are perfect for the water transfer and produced water industries due to the optional integrated grooved end fittings and their higher temperature ratings, but their applications are not limited to these industries alone. The grooved end connections make the meters a great fit for all mine dewatering operations where the speed of installation and removal is paramount to personnel safety. These can also be applied indoors for fire mains where the grooved ends are necessary.
The expanded line size from 1.5” to 24” in both battery and external power configurations are available in flanged versions as well including: AWWA Cl D, ANSI #150 or ANSI #300. Additionally, these can easily be coupled with the SmartTrax telemetry system to allow remote access to critical flow meter data.
McCrometer has done what others cannot and is delivering what the market needs with the Field Mag series of grooved end electromagnetic flow meters. Get into the groove and reach out to McCrometer to learn more today.
